Der alljährliche AWS Summit fand wieder in Berlin statt. Wie zu erwarten war Artificial Intelligence und Machine Learning allgegenwärtig und an in unterschiedlichsten Kontexten auf der Bühne

Die Veranstaltung, die am 15. und 16. Mai in der STATION Berlin statt fand, stand unter dem Motto „Connect. Collaborate. Learn.“ Die Veranstaltung bot wie gewohnt eine Plattform für Networking, Wissensaustausch und die Präsentation innovativer Technologien. 

Die Hauptthemen des Summits umfassten:

  • Generative KI: Zahlreiche Sessions beleuchteten den Einsatz von generativer KI in verschiedenen Branchen, darunter Best Practices für Prompt Engineering mit Amazon Bedrock und die Integration von KI in Kundenserviceprozesse.  
  • Cloud-Architektur und DevOps: Es wurden fortgeschrittene Themen wie die Skalierung von Kubernetes mit Karpenter, serverlose Architekturen und die Optimierung von Entwicklungsprozessen mit AWS-Tools behandelt.
  • Datenanalyse und KI/ML: Sessions fokussierten sich auf moderne Datenplattformen, Echtzeit-Streaming-Analysen und den Einsatz von Machine Learning zur Wertschöpfung aus Daten.  
  • Digitale Souveränität und Sicherheit: Diskussionen drehten sich um Datenschutz, Compliance und die Umsetzung von Sicherheitsstrategien in der Cloud, insbesondere im öffentlichen Sektor.

Zusätzlich bot der Summit spezielle Bereiche wie den „GenAI Hub“ für praktische KI-Demonstrationen, das „Startup Loft“ für Gründer und die „Wo[men] of the Cloud“-Initiative zur Förderung von Diversität in der Tech-Branche.  

Insgesamt war der AWS Summit Berlin 2024 ein zentrales Event für Fachleute, die sich über aktuelle Entwicklungen in Cloud-Technologien, KI und digitale Transformation informieren und austauschen wollten.

I recently came across an ASM print edition from the year !!! 2023!!! on the Internet by chance!

ASM – The gaming magazine of my childhood! I had devoured, hoarded and stored ASM and other magazines in my children’s room for years. Strange, because I must have bought and read 4-5 computer magazines every month back then. As a schoolboy, I probably lost more time “in” these magazines than I spent with or in front of the computer itself. What my parents had was worth seeing: a 386 with 25 MHz and MSDOS5 and Windows 95 as well as an Apple Macintosh LC and a Macintosh CI, each with a 20” screen. You could do something with that. But back then, print was simply the information medium “par excellence” – and the computer stood in the dark and extremely unattractive dressing room…

Back to the topic. This was a special edition and it was still in stock! I ordered it straight away and had it in my hands a few days later. It brings back nostalgic memories.
